Although my piece is not totally done or sprayed, my ideas of the piece is a self-portrait with me looking into a book which would be labeled about different cultures/folk tales. I wanted to add two elements from my stories (The first piece about the angel sheep and The Old Lady Who Lives In A Shoe.) I will be adding water color to emphasized the figures- the glasses of the shoe, books, brain. The brain itself represents a book that adsorbed the interruption and my visual snow/ eye issues with living messy textures for the eyes. The background it of course. is messy. Representing the background absorbing into the brain book.

Scribbled Notes p1.
"There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children she didn't know what to do." Taking this information I made a silhouette of an old woman who has a shoe for a head, keeping with the messy style for a background to become a fake wallpaper; I used different mediums(graphite, and charcoal) To show different in shading and the different textures(dress/scrawl to have variety) Besides this I really like this piece, along having confidence because my friend, Nati wants to have a print of this piece. My next piece concludes with the idea of a self-portrait using books. The elements of the previous folk tales, that connects to my essential question of self-discovery on my hidden past. |
